BSTU Offers its Master’s Degree and PhD Programs to Chinese Students

On October 24, Ihar Voitau, Rector of Belarusian State Technological University hosted a delegation of Jiangxi Science & Technology Normal University (JSTNU) headed by its Vice-President, Professor Li WenLong.

Professor Li WenLong informed that they would like to explore various cooperation opportunities, in particular, training of JSTNU graduates in MSc and PhD programs of BSTU as well as conducting joint research. The Chinese party expressed great interest in educational programs in economics, chemistry, informatics, materials science.    

The parties had a detailed and meaningful discussion of further steps that should be taken to promote the above cooperation initiatives and to enable JSTNU graduates to become students of BSTU MSc and PhD programs as early as December 2023.

Jiangxi Science & Technology Normal University (JXSTNU; Chinese :江西科技师范大学) is a teacher training college in located in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, People’s Republic of China, and is currently the only university in Jiangxi Province to offer undergraduate degrees in occupational education. The university was first established in 1977 as the Nanchang Campus of Jiangxi Normal University and was among the first in the PRC established to educate teachers in vocational programs.

As of 2023, JXSTNU enrolled over 28,000 students (26,156 bachelor and 2,118 master students) and an educational staff of 1,736 including 135 full professors and 306 associate professors. The university occupies a campus of roughly 145 hectares (0.56 square miles) and includes roughly 5.2 million square feet (483,900 square meters) of floor space. Students were separated into 21 academic departments and 49 bachelor degree programs including natural science, engineering, medicine, history, philosophy, law, economics, management, foreign language and education.
