Department of chemistry, electrochemical production technology and materials of electronic technology trains master’s graduates on specialty 1-41 80 02 ‘Technology and equipment for production of semiconductors, materials and devices of electronic equipment.’
Master’s graduates in this specialization are trained for professional, engineering, management, design, research, scientific and teaching activities in the field of development of new perspective materials for solid-state electronics, nonlinear optics, quantum electronics, optoelectronics, radio engineering, microwave technology, new methods of synthesis and growing crystals and films for creating homostructures and heterostructures, as well as the creation of appropriate equipment and its implementation into production.
The objects of study of the Master’s degree students of this specialty are elemental semiconductors, complex semiconductor compounds, semiconducting, magnetic, superconducting, dielectric, ferroelectric, composites and other materials and equipment.
Master's graduates receive profound knowledge in the following areas:
– creation of new materials
– development of technology of synthesis and growing crystals and films of semiconductors, conductors, dielectrics, superconductors, ferroelectrics, magnetic, composite and other materials
– development of new and improvement of existing technological equipment for production of semiconductors, materials, devices and components of electronic equipment
– mathematical modeling and optimization of processes and devices of electronic equipment
methods and apparatuses for elemental, structural and phase analysis of micro volumes of solids.

Nanotechnologies and nanomaterials in electronics
Physico-chemical basis of nanomaterials
Elements of crystaloptics.
Master’s degree graduates on specialty 1-41 80 02 ‘Technology and equipment for production of semiconductors, materials and electronic devices’ are in demand at the enterprises of electronic industry of the Republic of Belarus: JSC ‘Integral’, VPRD "Monolith", Vitebsk, plant Optic, Lida, LLC ‘IZOVAC’, Minsk, etc. as well as research institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus.
After graduation students have the opportunity to continue their education at the Department of postgraduate studies in the specialty 02.00.01 "inorganic chemistry", 02.00.21 "solid state chemistry" 02.00.04 "physical chemistry".
